“Blue.. velvet… cake? That’s my favourite type of cake, yet I rarely get a chance to have it.” Naoto smiled joyously, and resumed her work, thinking nothing of the fact Jun had just dumped the entire mix in with no consultation of the instructions at all.
“It better be delicious! You also better not blow up my office!” She said the second part only half jokingly, as she knew that her office was filled with flammable and important papers.
“Good, then perhaps you will enjoy this,” he stated, mixing the batter deftly. His arm began to feel sore roughly around the fifth or six rotation, so he stopped. The batter looked… okay. Considering he hadn’t looked at the instructions before hand.
“I won’t, I won’t! Just trust me.”
He would grow to regret those words later on, as he dumped the batter into the tiny dish.

The inhabitants of the flower-decorated detective’s office were the owner, Naoto Shirogane, and her partner-slash-interior decorator, Jun Kurosu.
Jun had insisted on an easy bake oven earlier on in the week, and Naoto had reluctantly allowed the purchase of one, as well as allowance into her office.
The day was no different, despite the fact an easy bake oven now occupied one of the corner of the office. Naoto was working hard as usual at her desk, and Jun was being Jun.
She looked up to glance at Jun, seeing him try to use the easy bake oven, “What is it that you plan to attempt to make with that?”
The small pink and purple oven was currently being preheated. It was rather slow for Jun. Eagerly, he poured the small package of blue velvet batter into a small bowl and began to follow the instructions, “Blue velvet cake,” he responded hastily.
Even though he failed to read the manual, he had a good hunch on how this tiny machine works. He was horrible at cooking and baking, so perhaps this could serve its purpose as a practice course for the raven.
“Hmm… I think I did this right. I’ll let you try it first when it’s done.”
